Onboarding process by Pflegedienst Frankfurt LWP
For years, the healthcare sector has faced a severe shortage of staff. We are increasingly having to recruit employees from abroad.
We have adapted to this situation and, over the past few years, have successfully integrated a large number of excellent employees into our organization. We have established a professional framework in this areaâdefining a dedicated „onboarding“ processâto ensure that we maintain specific quality standards in this regard as well.
Â
You can learn more about this here:
A positive onboarding process begins with the moment you sign the employment contract and accompanies you as a new colleague in the first months of the new employment relationship.

We look forward to your call. 069-9043019-288
Preboarding â From the first contact to the start of work
Motivation begins in the country of origin.
Â
We give you an overview of German culture, life and the tasks at LWP.
Â
The exchange of information on entry planning, language skills and living conditions is very important.
For example, language skills at B2 level are a must.
Employment contract
The employment contract is the basis of legal cooperation.
It creates trust and security in order to give the future in Germany a foundation.
Therefore, it is important to obtain the employment contract from us before entering the country.
Visa for Germany
Future colleagues from abroad need a visa to enter Germany.
Â
We support expedited entry under the Skilled Workers Immigration Actand we apply for preliminary approval at the employment office.
Â
We also provide assistance in clarifying legal issues such as visa matters or the recognition of professional qualifications.
Onboarding â From the first contact to the start of work
Day 1 Arrival:
On request, we will personally pick you up from the airport/train station and accompany you to your accommodation.
Â
This creates a first personal meeting.
Â
You can get a first impression of the city of Frankfurt here:

Day 2 Orientation:
- The second day is intended for orientation . The following points are being considered: Presentation of the surrounding area including shopping facilities, local transport (how do you get to work and where can you get a new monthly ticket?), ATM, mobile phone shop, etc.
- Support with administrative procedures, registration and opening of a bank account, registration with the statutory health insurance.
Day 3 First day of work:
Here it is important to welcome the new colleague on site and to give him a first taste.
Administrative processes are shown, work clothes are handed out and the colleagues who do the induction are introduced.
Day 4 to 14 Induction:
These days serve to get to know colleagues and the work processes.
Â
We conduct an onboarding interview as soon as possible (in the first one to two weeks). In it, we clarify our mutual expectations and goals. Another feedback meeting will take place at the end of the planned onboarding process.
Acknowledgment
In order to be able to work as a skilled worker in Germany, the foreign professional qualification must be recognised as equivalent in Germany. In Hesse, the district president in Darmstadt is responsible for recognition. We supported the new colleagues in the process.
Â
If the equivalence check is not successful, we support the implementation of the compensatory measures. LWP is a training company and can rely on a number of institutions within its training network.
Â
Still in his home country, the new force has to train language skills as part of B1. After arrival in Germany, further language qualification measures up to B2 are organised.
Â
LWP offers in-house German courses twice a week free of charge.
Fixed contact persons
We provide you with fixed contact persons.
They act as a point of contact for technical questions, but also for external topics.
A fixed point of contact conveys security.
House hunting
Finding an apartment in Frankfurt is difficult. We support you in this.
Personnel
Onboarding is not a one-way street. The entire team is making its contribution.
Â
We offer opportunities to get to know each other. During the induction process, you will be trained by various colleagues. You can also take part in the in-house German courses free of charge.
Â
Our company parties are a popular meeting place to exchange ideas with the team in a leisure atmosphere.
Holistic approach
Onboarding is not a matter of a few days. Instead, it can take up to several months.
Â
The investment is worth it. They are valued and accompanied.
Â
We take a holistic view of onboarding. They don’t just come to Germany to work, but to a new country and life â with the corresponding challenges and expectations. This can certainly lead to irritation in some places. This requires a lot of communication, empathy and sensitivity.
Completion of the onboarding process
When the onboarding is completed depends on the professional/personal initial situation of the new colleagues. As a rule, six to twelve months are estimated for this, which is usually sufficient. In a staff appraisal after six months and after another six months, the onboarding is reflected on and individual goals and training needs are discussed.
Â
During onboarding, the contact persons will already get an impression of whether the arrival at the facility will be successful in the intermediate discussions with you.
The support of the process enables continuous evaluation and, if necessary, correction.
